underfloor heating vs. wall heating

underfloor heating vs. wall heating

Underfloor heating is the most widespread radiant heating or surface heating.

The underfloor heating is mounted on the concrete slab, then after installing the pipe, a 4.5 cm cement screed is placed over the pipe.

Warming up in the walls

Warming in walls is used as a method of adding heat, flooring or as a single heating system.

Typically, two types of wall heating systems are used: the wet system, ie a system over which the dry system is plastered, which means rigid panels inside which the heating pipe is in the walls.

The wet heating system in the walls has the advantage that it can cover a larger wall surface.

The dry wall heating system covers a lower heating area compared to the wet system due to the fact that this system uses standard-sized panels that need to be matched in a puzzle to cover a heating surface.

The wet system has a lower cost, covers a larger surface, is more efficient, but the mounting price is higher.

The dry system is more expensive, has less efficiency, covers a smaller area, but the installation price is lower.

The disadvantage of heating in walls is that it is difficult to drill the walls to fix objects.

The heat flow can be diminished by the furniture in front of the wall.
